A magical Christmas celebration for everyone, including families, couples, friends and guests of all ages!
Presented by the Devonport Country Club and Matt Goss, Christmas brings together festive entertainment, activities, food and drinks for children and grown-ups alike.
For Matt, this event continues a much-loved family Christmas tradition built over many years. His grandfather helped bring the early celebrations to life, his father has delighted generations of children as Santa, and his wife has helped create the magic as Head Elf.
Now, following Matt’s appointment as Venue Manager at the Devonport Country Club, the tradition begins an exciting new chapter, with his young daughter becoming the fourth generation of the family to share in the Christmas magic. All four generations will be involved in this year’s celebration and are incredibly excited to continue this special family tradition together.
For the children, there will be plenty of Christmas magic, including the chance to meet Santa, explore Santa’s Workshop and enjoy pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting, henna, games and roving Christmas characters & mini steam traction engine rides.
But this is much more than a children’s event. Guests of all ages can enjoy live music, a roving magician, barefoot bowls, indoor putt-putt golf and the relaxed atmosphere of our new all-weather alfresco area.
With plenty of indoor and outdoor seating across the alfresco, bistro and surrounding areas, it’s also a great setting for an end-of-year business catch-up, a festive gathering with friends or a relaxed Christmas outing as a couple.
Throughout the day, there will be festive food, Ice Cream Fusion, dipped desserts, Christmas cocktails and a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available to purchase.
Whether you’re bringing the children, catching up with friends, celebrating with colleagues or simply looking to soak up the Christmas atmosphere, there will be plenty to see, taste and experience throughout the day.
WEATHER
A large portion of the event will take place indoors or within covered areas, allowing the Christmas celebrations to continue comfortably if the weather is less than perfect. Some activities will be held outdoors, with covered alternatives arranged where possible if conditions are unsuitable.
Of course, we’re hoping for a beautiful summer’s day! If the weather is kind to us, we’ll make the most of the Country Club’s wonderful outdoor spaces, beautiful views across the golf course and lush green surroundings.
Activity locations may be adjusted depending on weather conditions.
ACCESSIBILITY AND PRAMS
The Devonport Country Club’s facilities are accessible and wheelchair and pram friendly.
Companion Cards are accepted, with complimentary admission available for a support person accompanying a guest with a valid Companion Card. The Companion Card must be presented upon arrival.
Please arrive at the entry time shown on your ticket. Entry is permitted for up to 30 minutes after your selected time, but guests cannot enter earlier. Once admitted, you are welcome to remain and enjoy the event for as long as you wish.
PLEASE NOTE
Food and beverages are not included in the ticket price. Selected activities, including face painting, henna and pony rides, will also incur an additional charge.
